What You Can Expect in this Tour
The followings are popular cherry blossom spots in Tokyo.

(1) Ueno park (Open every day)
Ueno park is the most popular cherry blossom spot in Tokyo. There are more than 1000 cherry trees along the street leading to the National Museum and around Shinobazu pond. Not only Japanese but also many foreigners enjoy Hanami parties under the trees.

(2) Shinjuku Gyoen park (Closed on Monday, Admission: 500 yen)
It is a very large botanical garden featuring more than one thousand cherry trees of over a dozen varieties. There are not only Japanese gardens, but also foreign gardens such as an English garden. Many people enjoy picnics at spacious lawn areas.

(3) Chidorigafuchi and Kitanomaru Park (Open every day)
Hundreds of cherry trees decorate the moats of the Imperial palace. People enjoy cherry blossom viewing from small rental boats. Every year, there’s a cherry blossom festival around this area that goes on until nighttime. Picnics are not allowed.

(4) Sumida park and Sensoji temple (Open every day)
In the Sumida park you will see a lot of cherry trees along the Sumida river. They can also be enjoyed from a cruise boat. The famous Sensoji temple is located next to the park. It is fun to see both traditional buildings and beautiful cherry trees at the temple.

(5) Meguro river
It’s located in Nakameguro which is near Shibuya, central Tokyo. There are over 800 cherry trees lined for about 4 km along the river. During the cherry blossoms season, a cherry blossom festival is held near the river and there are a lot of stalls selling food and drinks.

(6) Oyoko river
Oyoko River is picturesquely framed by cherry blossom trees, which makes a charming view of pastel pink branches nearly touching the water surface. Many small boats offer special cruising service along the river. You can enjoy splendid cherry blossoms from the boat.
